Predicting the future always loses accuracy because they’re all flash and lack utility. In a real world setting, how and why would I use a holographic interface on my controller? That’s just the Wii U with extra steps. 32k resolution and 480fps is a waste of power too.
In 2042, the cloud runs everything. The average internet speed will be multiple terabits per second. With that much data throughput on hand, AI will do things we can’t even imagine today. Resolution and FPS fall by the wayside in favor of immersion.
This game won’t surpass 20 million units anytime soon. Many of these copies are Christmas presents waiting to be opened, and the majority of the copies were sold on last gen hardware. If sweeping bug fixes aren’t done FAST, the return rate come January could be staggering
I’m not a hater, I was one of the few lucky ones to get a Series X, and the game is forgivable and full of promise. But the Xbox Series lineup, while being the definitive console version, will probably have the smallest user base playing this game of the 7 consoles it was released on, and the 2 largest user bases (PS4 and One), has a fundamentally broken version of the game.
CDPR deserves scorn. These sales numbers should not be praised at all
I’d love to see a bombshell. Like Microsoft is purchasing Sega, and plans to rebrand Xbox under Sega in Asian countries. The first Microsoft Sega console would be released next Fall.
If Microsoft wants to take gaming in the East seriously, thats what its going to take
I hope that means Series X/S exclusivity. Needing to make 5 different versions of this game had to have stretched resources thin. If its just the latest consoles, then Xbox can provide the ultimate experience
