@DennisReynolds DF says in the video that the Xbox consoles are hitting 60fps by generating every frame in performance mode, with no frame gen at all, even on the Series S. It’s wild they removed frame gen for the Xbox port but still used it on much more powerful PS5 Pro. Bizarre port situation indeed
@Kidfunkadelic83 1. abandon iconic franchise after firing its auteur creator over $$$ 2. realize how iconic and therefore valuable ($$$!) said franchise is a decade later 3. release old games with little effort (too much $$ to do it right!), but blame poor sales on modern gamer sensibilities 4. remake older game with half-assed effort (too much $$$ to do it right!), but blame poor sales on the fans again 5. re-abandon iconic franchise and go back to the easy $$$ of pachinko machines
@DennisReynolds yeah people also don’t know how video game consoles work. They’re little computers, not blenders. More power does not equal able to solve poor optimization. The PS5 was generating 50% of the frames with software and it ran terribly before the Pro update. If your argument is a console must be powerful enough to run even the worst optimized game, then have fun with your $1500 PS6 Pro max at 30 fps
Some of y’all aren’t familiar with Sony’s past and how they do business if you think this isn’t a back room deal they would do and then dance around the marketing of said deal AS PART OF THE DEAL The alternative is the developer admitting to being bad at their jobs, when it’s obvious much more graphically impressive games scale to the Series S.
I think this is the pinnacle of modern gaming, personally. The perfect fusion of gameplay, narrative, and visuals. I waited until it was full price to buy it.
