Because you know once they push the all digital future, they'll push to do an all cloud future where you can't even download anything. So you want to play a game? Well first you need to spend $100 to "buy" the license for the game. Then you need to spend your $25+ a month for the monthly subscription service to be able to play said game online. Then you'll have to pay your fees to buy time to play the game you already paid for on the cloud service despite already paying for your monthly subscription.
