If I try to use it in normal hours in the UK the waiting times are often 15 minutes or more. After midnight I can normally start something up instantly and maybe have a look at something on game pass if I am unsure of the quality etc but other than that I barely touch it. If the game is worth playing then I might download it after looking at it but using it for any major length of time is just a no for me.
I honestly don't recommend this game, I bought the deluxe edition in a sale for about half price and it's honestly a chore to play. The dialogue is outright gibberish at times and the story is flat. Most of the characters (especially the main one) come across as annoying most of the times although it's nothing to do with the voice actors who do the best they can with a very poor script. This is made worse by the cutscenes being unskippable and some of them drag on for ages. Even worse when you can't actually save and can only restart a chapter, so if you do mess up and want to restart you can only restart the full chapter and therefore have to sit through every cutscene again. The combat is often underwhelming and sometimes it's extremely hard to see what is even going on or where attacks are coming from. I would honestly recommend anyone considering buying this to wait for a deep dive sale. I know I have been extremely harsh on this game and I genuinely wanted to like it but there's a lot of flaws that just make it annoying and I am genuinely unsurprised that it sold so poorly. That said I hope they learn from the mistakes they've made with this game and come back with something better next time because there's definitely potential there. That said I strongly recommend they get a decent writing team next time round because it's the worst part of the game imho.
@Ocat Really? I keep getting it offered for about £28 in the UK. The only reason I haven't bothered is because I own them all apart from the 2 'Tales From' games and I have no interest in playing the second one Gearbox did anyway. That said I had forked out £12 roughly for the Commander Lilith dlc which was the only main game dlc I was missing and then the Pandora offer came up about a month later or I might have considered paying the extra for Pandora seeing as that's included anyway.
On March the first this year I asked in the forums if there was going to be an end to them gutting out the rewards program. I got a kind of generic reply from an independent advisor who basically knew nothing and could only recommend I submit a ticket to rewards support. As I didn't want a another generic reply about how it was constantly being evaluated etc, I didn't bother.
The post was locked soon after I think to stop others commenting their displeasure about the same thing. At the time I thought things were bad then but it's just continued non stop since then and while I know they're perfectly within their rights to do whatever they want to it, I just wish they would be more open about what they're doing and what the plans are for them. Right now it just feels they are paring it back every chance they get to see how far they can go with it.
Like others on here have mentioned there's a lot of problems even trying to get them to work for what there now is and also like others I have just gave up on large sections of it now.
Asking me to click on something for literally one or two points now just doesn't make me feel it's worth the effort. I agree that they probably were too generous to start with and possibly even being abused by some using multiple accounts possibly but it seems they have went from one extreme to another now. I can see many others just now only doing the few things left that are still worth doing while they last and I really would not be surprised to see them disappear with the rest tbh.
