Xbox Posts About GTA 6, Racks Up 37 Million Views In The Process

Just in case you were in any doubt, GTA 6 is going to become easily the biggest video game of all time when it releases on November 19th of this year (assuming it doesn't get delayed any further).

Take Xbox's latest post about it as evidence. At the end of last week, Xbox took to Twitter/X and simply stated the release date along with the words "Wishlist Now". Nothing special, and yet it's racked up 37.3 million views so far.

Here's the embed version of the tweet, which also shows the 250,000+ likes it's received:

So, what's led to the 37 million views? There was some speculation of Take-Two announcing a delay as part of its earnings results last week, but the company ended up recommitting to the November 19th date. It seems that a lot of people are taking this Xbox tweet as factual proof that November 19th is set in stone as well, although we wouldn't look at it that way — games can always be delayed at any point, even if Xbox is promoting a date ahead of time.

The 37m figure is also just because people are that excited about GTA 6. If you look at some of the fan communities for Grand Theft Auto, thousands (if not tens of thousands) of people are speculating daily about new trailers and any kind of information they can get their hands on, so a tweet from Xbox comes across as a big deal!

At the moment, it seems the big anticipation is for "Trailer 3" and the start of pre-orders, so we'll keep an eye out for more information on those and let you know when they arrive. In the meantime, let's just hope Xbox can get out the way of GTA 6 with Fable, Halo and Gears, because nothing is going to want to compete with GTA 6 this November.
