Batman: Arkham Knight Joins Xbox Play Anywhere, And More Major Titles Could Be On The Way

We've had another massive legacy addition to the Xbox Play Anywhere program this week! Batman: Arkham Knight, which first released all the way back in 2015, now gives you a free copy on PC if you buy it on console.

There have been occasions in the past where this has happened before (such as Hogwarts Legacy), but Xbox Play Anywhere is usually focused on new releases. However, someone on Reddit mentioned a day ago how they'd spotted "invisible" handheld tags on a bunch of games recently, with Batman: Arkham Knight being one of them:

Now that Arkham Knight has joined the Play Anywhere program, you could speculate that the other four might be in the works for it as well — and that's a pretty huge deal if the likes of Baldur's Gate 3, Onimusha: Way of the Sword (which to be fair, is a new release) and Undisputed are all being planned for it.

In particular, Baldur's Gate 3 is one that fans have been calling for, and there were rumours back in late 2025 that it was going to join the program. At the moment, none of these games have Xbox PC versions at all, obviously aside from Batman which has just added one, hence the timing of its Play Anywhere support.

Let's wait and see what happens (if anything), but for now, if you happen to own Batman: Arkham Knight and you fancy playing it on your PC or ROG Xbox Ally, you should find a free copy waiting for you in the Xbox PC app. Enjoy!

Which of these would you most like to see get the XPA treatment (aside from Batman)? Tell us below.
