Things are starting to ramp up with Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy now! After what felt like a period of going dark on things, developer Asobo Studio recently revealed some fresh screenshots for the title, and now the team is back with a teaser that the game is almost ready for prime time.
In its Devblog - Episode 1 post, Asobo noted that the team is now full-speed ahead and that the release of the next Plague Tale game "is almost here". At the moment we've only got a broad 2026 window for the title on Xbox Game Pass, so hopefully we get more news on that soon.
"It’s been a year since we revealed Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and four since A Plague Tale: Requiem’s release (😲!) In the quiet of Asobo Studio’s office, our team wondered how the A Plague Tale universe would live on. Asobo Studio’s team on the deck. Now, the release is almost here. Soon, you’ll face countless dangers alongside Sophia and her sidekicks."
Asobo then goes on to say that "the coming months are critical: our compass is fixed on testing, balancing, and refining the game mechanics to deliver an experience as challenging as it is unforgettable". "Final tweaks, last recording sessions, the closing notes of the score" are now being finalised, the team says, as we head into launch.
We've absolutely loved the first few Plague Tale games so far, and we're very excited to see what the studio is cooking up with Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy on XGP later this year. We'll drop some related links on the new title below!
