All the way back in June of last year, we were treated to our first taste of Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy - a new game in the Plague Tale series that was announced to be launching day one on Xbox Game Pass in 2026.
The game has kinda gone dark ever since, but yesterday, Focus Entertainment randomly treated us to some brand-new screenshots of the game, and they've raised our hype levels all over again!
Here's the post from Instagram, and we'll share some bigger images at the bottom of the article:
Looking at the comments, it seems a lot of people never really caught on that we're getting a new Plague Tale game in 2026, but we certainly are — Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is a prequel to the original two games, set 15 years before A Plague Tale: Requiem. In it, you'll play as a "fierce young plunderer" known as Sophia, who travels to the Minotaur' Island to face "deadly trails" and "treacherous trails" while also trying to escape the army that's chasing her.
If the other two Plague Tale games are anything to by, this is going to be a highlight when it drops on Xbox Game Pass at some point later in 2026, and we'll be sure to let you know as soon as it gets an official release date.
