Today's Xbox showcase at Tokyo Game Show 2025 is in the books, and although we saw seven Xbox Game Pass titles during the event, only three of them were games with brand-new release date announcements.
We've heard about one of those before - Winter Burrow - which finally now has a release date in November of this year, while Terminull Brigade and the massive announcement of Forza Horizon 6 are two surprise additions to the lineup.
However, the catch is that is Terminull Brigade is a free-to-play game anyway, but Microsoft is still advertising it as an Xbox Game Pass release. Apparently, the Game Pass side of it involves unlocking loads of exclusive benefits like skins and supply packs. We don't think that equates to a "Game Pass" title to be honest, but Microsoft does!
They even included it in their Xbox Game Pass roundup at the end of the show:

Anyway, let's take a look at each of these Xbox Game Pass titles in more detail. Here's what to expect:

Most free to play games have a 'Premium' tier so I wonder if they are counting Premium tier as the Game Pass offering...
Winter Burrow looks sweet and though I thought the reveal was dreadful, FH6 is well worth a wait.
Counting a free to play game as a gamepass game is pretty stupid and devalues the offering which has failed to be as impressive in the back end of the year as it was in the beggining.
I stopped my sub 4 months back and theres been precious little to attract me back since. Up till Summer 24 I had been a continuous GPU subscriber, but there are far less offerings now than there ever were, which means theres often little I want. I guess Im saving money, but it does dissappoint me, and makes me question why Im holding on to the series x at all.
