PSA: Silent Hill 2 Is Still Due For Xbox Once PS5 Exclusivity Window Expires

Last year, Polish developer Bloober Team really came into its own with the Silent Hill 2 remake, although Xbox players haven't been blessed with Konami's latest Silent Hill release just yet. However, on the back of the Silent Hill 1 remake announcement this week, we're here to remind you all that SH2 should still be coming to Xbox in the near future.

As we covered in our guide on all things Silent Hill 2, PlayStation seemingly has a one-year exclusivity window for the October 2024 release. The game's launch trailer contained a graphic that says the game won't come to other platforms until at least October 8th, 2025; a date that's fast approaching here.

Of course, being a PlayStation trailer, Xbox wasn't specifically mentioned - but it's safe to assume that 'other formats' includes Xbox. The game is already out on PC (exclusivity windows rarely include PC these days), so Xbox should be next in line. Of course, with Nintendo bringing a much more powerful system to market this month, Switch 2 could also be of consideration for Konami here.

Either way, Bloober Team has the ability to start bringing the well-regarded Silent Hill 2 remake to Xbox anytime from this October, and we're very much hoping the studio gets on that ASAP. Playing some SH2 right as spooky season comes around this year would be a very fun time indeed - straight after Silent Hill F makes its Xbox debut as well!
