This week marks the launch of the Capcom Fighting Collection 2 on multiple platforms and this latest one has thankfully arrived at the same time on Xbox. Obviously, there was a delay with the previous Marvel vs. Capcom release.

The reviews are now beginning to roll in, so we've put together the first lot of impressions so far. Starting with our friends at Nintendo Life, they've awarded this latest collection a score of nine out of ten.

Nintendo Life - 9/10

"With both Power Stones, an unbeatable Capcom vs SNK double bill and Project Justice leading the charge, there's really very little to complain about here. Excellent stuff."

GameSpot - 8/10

"All told, this is another great compendium of some of Capcom's best fighting games in their history. How many more Capcom can put together, however, remains to be seen."

Noisy Pixel - 8.5/10

"Capcom Fighting Collection 2 celebrates the golden era of fighting games with a polished anthology featuring classics like Capcom vs. SNK 2, Power Stone 2, and Project Justice. Packed with enhancements, online features, and rare variants, it delivers nostalgia and competitive fun for fans old and new."

Xbox Achievements - 85/100

"Capcom Fighting Collection 2 sets a high bar once more, complementing the previous Marvel vs. Capcom Collection as another set of unrivalled arcade fighting games that demand your attention."

And last but not least, our colleagues at Push Square also gave the game nine out of ten stars:

Push Square - 9/10

"Yet another timely reminder that Capcom has been the king of its craft for decades now, Capcom Fighting Collection 2 superbly digs into the Dreamcast era of the Japanese publisher’s iconic output."

Looking at the Metacritic scores, Capcom Fighting Collection 2 currently has an average of 82 for PS4 (which has the most reviews), 83 for PC and 85 for Xbox. The "Top Critic Average" on OpenCritic is also an impressive 84.

If you're interested in picking it up, Capcom Fighting Collection is available right now for Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S at a price of £34.99 / $39.99 via the Microsoft Store.
