Update []: We first reported on this all the way back in February, and now Bandai Namco has provided us with a release date! The next-gen upgrade for One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is officially coming to Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on November 21st, 2025.
Details are still relatively thin on the ground, but it's been mentioned that owners of the Xbox One version will be able to access the Series X and S version at no extra cost. Here's the confirmation, and you can watch the new trailer up above:
"Once released, both versions of the game will continue to receive updates as new DLC will be released in the future, including one where fans can pick their favorite characters to play in the game. ONE PIECE PIRATE WARRIORS 4 will be released on PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S, with free upgrades available for players who own versions on PlayStation®4 and Xbox One."
"The new version coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S will feature visual enhancements and more, letting players experience the frantic action gameplay in a completely new way."
Original Story: One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 made its debut in 2020 and now to celebrate four million sales it's getting a "next gen" upgrade.
This "ultimate version" will be coming to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 and will include "every DLC character".
As part of this announcement, Bandai Namco has also confirmed new DLC for the title. The catch is - the fanbase will be able to vote for the next characters they would like to see added.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 has previously been made available via Xbox Game Pass. At the moment, certain versions of the Xbox One version are on sale in select regions.
