Xbox's Phil Spencer Hypes Up Hellblade 2 In CCXP 2023 Interview

Head of Xbox Phil Spencer has been in Brazil for the CCXP 2023 convention this week, and as part of this, he appeared in a chat with the official Xbox team to discuss a whole bunch of topics - including which game he's most excited for.

Specifically, Spencer was questioned about the game he's "most eager to see people dive into", and he ended up picking Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2. Here's Spencer's full response about why he chose Hellblade:

"So, I'll say Hellblade 2 because I just love Ninja Theory as a studio, [I] have for years. And all the work that they do - the craftmanship is fantastic - and I love how that game's coming together. And we don't have that much longer to wait."

It's interesting that Spencer says "we don't have that much longer to wait" for Hellblade 2, as Xbox's Matt Booty appeared to suggest recently that it'll be a late 2024 release. In any case, we should be playing Ninja Theory's sequel within the next twelve months, and the Xbox boss clearly seems pleased with the way development is coming along.

There's even been some speculation that the game could make an appearance at The Game Awards 2023, marking four years since it debuted at the 2019 event, but there's no proof of this so far. It'd be great if it happened though!
