We're fast approaching the release of Redfall on Xbox Game Pass on May 2nd, 2023, and ahead of that date, Arkane is giving us a glimpse at each Hero in the game - starting with the "Telekinetic Threat", Layla.
This video shows off a bit of backstory for Layla, followed by some snippets of gameplay. She's described as being "perfectly suited for offense or defense", equipped with some pretty impressive abilities:
"A biomedical engineering student who interned at an Aevum research facility, where something went very wrong, leaving her with intense telekinetic abilities.
Her abilities give you all around versatility – Umbrella is perfectly suited for offense or defense. Use Lift to reach rooftops or launch enemies into the air. Then summon Jason to deal devastating damage to nearby enemies."
It's worth keeping an eye on the official Xbox YouTube channel for more of these character profiles prior to Redfall's launch on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, which is now less than a month away!
The reviews aren't live yet, but the final previews for the game dropped back in late March, and early impressions are pretty strong on the whole. Let's hope the full game can live up to the hype when it arrives on Xbox Game Pass.
