Update (Mon 2nd May, 2022): Looks like it was too good to be true! Both Braid and Joe Danger 2: The Movie have returned to full price on the Xbox Store, suggesting they weren't intended to be free in the first place.
Cloning Clyde is still free at the time of writing, but we'll keep an eye out and see if that changes soon.
Original story (Sun 1st May, 2022): Fancy some free games? Of course you do! For some reason, Microsoft has decided to give us more Games with Gold than have been officially announced, with three games unexpectedly included with the program at the moment.
All of the games are Xbox 360 titles - we've got the side-scrolling platformer Cloning Clyde, classic puzzle-platformer Braid, and the self-proclaimed "death-defying thrill-ride" Joe Danger 2: The Movie, all FREE right now!
These three games may not be available to claim in all regions, but we've verified that they're free with Games with Gold in at least the UK and the US (at the time of writing), so we're presuming their availability is pretty widespread.
Don't forget that the first official batch of May 2022's Xbox Games with Gold is also now available, which includes the fantastic metrodvania and pinball mashup Yoku's Island Express and classic racer Hydro Thunder Hurricane.

However despite showing as available in Gold, Hydro Thunder Hurricane is showing as Not Available to download when select it.
Free in Canada too, but seems like ugly lame games!
@munstahunta Braid is a classic. I'm chuffed as already had Hydro Thunder so any extra is a bonus.
My first Xbox console was Xbox One but the amount of free Xbox 360 games I have received is unbelievable. I say free because they're no tied to any subscription after you get them. Not just Games with Gold but many games that are free somehow like Crackdown and Crackdown 2. Xbox is the most generous gaming platform.

@Nic-Noc20th-C I just realised the second link is for PC. I already have the Xbox 360 game so maybe try a few days later and see if it's available then? Sometimes it doesn't work properly during the first days. If not, then you can contact Microsoft.

@munstahunta bro play Braid all the way to the end. I’d be quite surprised if you still felt it to be an ugly and lame game.

Always appreciate free games so I will add all these. Not sure I'll ever play any of them but I know Braid got great reviews.
@Banjo- Sony gave away some really great games through the pandemic & some really great VR games aswell as much as I love crackdown I don't think it's quite as generous as playstations days of play initiative
@Banjo- & then there's epic games store which gives away free games every month & most of the time the games are actually good
@Dusk_Actual I tried the game this afternoon but that’s not my cup of tea , it’s not ugly the art style is good the music too but the controls felt loose but I can understand why you liked it but for me it’s a no .
Also Hue is currently free as well. Pretty fun puzzler.
@Kirkpad I don’t play war zone or Fortnite or any multiplayer I mostly play single player games I started playing the artful escape this week end and I like it so far , with gamepass ultimate there is so much good games to play that these free games just can’t compete with the rest and my limited play time.
@munstahunta you gave it a try and that’s all that can be asked. It was pretty cool at the time it came out, as Xbox Live Arcade was a big deal in those days, and the twist at the end had people going . Not a Bioshock-level twist but a twist all the same
