The gorgeous Aqua Shift Xbox controller is now available, featuring rubberised grips for the first time in an official standard Xbox Wireless controller.
The new controller retails for £59.99/$69.99 via the Microsoft Store and other select retailers. It sports a beautiful "colour-shifting blue shimmer and swirl grips" to feast your eyes over. As mentioned, it's also the first Xbox controller to come with rubberised grips, something that was previously only available for Xbox Elite controller owners.

Since Xbox Design Lab has come back into action, the custom controllers are having to step up their game to become truly unique. Recently, we've had a few Space Jam themed controllers, and Halo Infinite is getting an Elite variant, while the Aqua Shift aims to use the special coating and rubberised grips to tantalise players.
Out of all the special edition controllers so far in the Xbox Series X|S's lifespans, we must say the Aqua Shift is probably our favourite so far. If Xbox can keep up this momentum, we may have to make more room on our shelves!

Another sharp pad. I wish they'd release a Series X/S version of the Sea of Thieves controller. That thing was awesome.
Looks nice, but I’d rather spend £60 on a game than a controller I don’t really need.

@JohannVanDerSmut There's really not too much beyond that. The Dpad is different, and better imo, but not dramatically so.
@JohannVanDerSmut I play a LOT of fighting games and the new dpad is improved for them...but not a ton. Might be better on Gears and some other shooters but IDK.
The main reason for wanting the SoT re-release is simple availability. The old ones are out of production and really expensive second hand.
