In addition to the Limited Edition Halo Infinite Xbox Series X announced earlier today, it's also been revealed that Halo Infinite is getting a limited Xbox Elite Series 2 controller, arriving this November for $199.99 USD.
The controller can be pre-ordered now from the Microsoft Store, and will be available at select retailers worldwide.

If I didn't already have an Elite I would consider this. Looks recognisable and clean. Nice to see Elite controllers getting some limited editions.
@Residentsteve01 Elite controllers do come with inbuilt rechargeable batteries.
Ooof £180 though. That's almost the cost of a Series S! Are these elite controllers really worth the money?

@MattWithoutFear Not in my experience. The build quality and features are fantastic, and I would have been happy with mine if not for the face buttons.
I went through about 8 of these and they all have the same issue. The face buttons are deeper in the pad, to give them a flatter profile, which would be fine, but because the xbox pad face buttons require a certain amount of travel to active the button, having the elite series 2 face buttons set low means anything short of a hard central press could result in a non-registered press.
I'm much happier with the series x pad.

Nice paint job but I'm very much in the user replaceable battery camp so I'll pass.
@Senua the original Elite pad took 2x AA batteries. That changed with the second elite controller.
@LordMonkfish Yeah. The build quality of the triggers, bumpers, stick, paddles, and the feel of the pad are top notch. My problem is exclusively with the face buttons.
And I didn't break eight of them, the design meant that they were not fit for purpose as soon as MS sent them me and I tested them. It's not a problem I've found on the stock xbox one, series x/s pads, or elite series 1, it's just the elite series 2.
@The_New_Butler @Xiovanni pretty sure that middle button on the elite series 2 controllers is for switching controller profiles, it's not a dedicated share button.

That price tag's an instant deal-breaker for me. I'm sure it's an outstanding controller, but $200 is just too much.
Managed to get this bad boy on Amazon and also preordered the steel book edition of the game. Hyped.
If I didn't already have my translucent green Elite Series 2 I'd totally be in top of this. I may get it anyway lol.
@Residentsteve01 All controllers take batteries. Unless you're talking about the idiotic design choice to use built in batteries, then yes the Elite Series 2 has this setup.
Much would rather be able to use my own AAs.

That is the profile select button. It doesn't not have a share button.
If you have the Microsoft keyboard attachment, X1 and X2 do screenshot and record clip though.
