Since the indefinite delay of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, we haven't really heard much about the game. In fact, before said delay, we didn't know too much about it then either. However, with any luck, we're hoping this recent tweet from the team behind Gamescom 2021 suggests we may be getting some news very soon.
As spotted by a Twitter user, a recent Facebook advertisement for the event has a shot of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga buried within. Responding to a fan on Twitter, Gamescom confirmed this "is only cool footage from previous Gamescom videos, nothing else", before adding a wink face at the end. They also added: "You will have to wait for the Opening Night Live!", along with the shifty eyes emoji.
It's all looking pretty suspicious to us.
Gamescom is set to kick off on August 25 with an Opening Night event. Hosted by Geoff Keighley, it's been confirmed to run for two hours, and will take "a new look at this holiday's biggest upcoming video games and what lies beyond".
We're really hoping we hear something new on the title at Gamescom, even if its just a look at some extensive gameplay. Let's just hope LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga's release date isn't in a galaxy far, far away.

Wow had forgotten about this game, I think it’s had more delays than a London train.
Hopefully it will turn out perfect for what it is.
I love SW but I cannot see myself playing Lego games as they are boring as heck with no fail states.
@Balta666 This is a ridiculous statement lol. Lego games are some of the best games on the entire planet...
@OliverOwen well I played a few and did not like them... What can I do lol. Also if you'd played one you have play them all. For me the goofs are not worth the dull gameplay
