EA Sports revealed the latest entry in the FIFA series on Sunday (FIFA 22), set to arrive on Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on October 1, and it's been confirmed that a free trial will be available for EA Play members as usual.
That means Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members will also get a chance to take advantage of the trial, which typically lasts for ten hours of playtime, allowing you to decide whether you want to buy it or wait until it hits the EA Play library at some point in 2022. Being a member will also grant players "monthly in-game rewards."
The big highlight feature of this year's game is something called "HyperMotion" technology for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, which uses advanced 11v11 match capture and machine learning to "elevate every moment on the pitch".
You'll be able to grab the Xbox One version for £59.99 / $59.99, but it won't include an upgrade to the £69.99 / $69.99 Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S version. The only way to get both is to buy the £89.99 / $89.99 Ultimate Edition.

I’ll definitely be trying out the Fifa 22 trial but won’t actually buy the full game till it’s around £15 next year. Which version will be available with the trial, Xbox One or Series X/S?
Xbox insiders are commenting on their black screen of death, after the latest update. So far just xbo'. But was wondering if this happened to the series x|s, as well.
@Carck it dropped so quickly last year, I'm sure it was down to £25 in November
