Oh, well this is a nice surprise. Asobo Studio has announced A Plague Tale: Innocence is getting an Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S optimisation upgrade on July 6.
It's free for current owners, and Xbox Game Pass owners will also reap its benefits as its already included with the service. Owners can expect 4K resolution on Xbox Series X, with 60FPS and 3D audio support on Xbox Series X and Series S. The new trailer provides a showcase of the update in action, and we must say it looks very nice.
After the recent reveal of A Plague Tale: Requiem at the E3 2021 Xbox Games Showcase, Asobo Studio and Focus Home Interactive are thrilled to announce that the critically-acclaimed first opus of the series, A Plague Tale: Innocence, comes in an enhanced version to Xbox Series X|S on July 6. This enhanced version will feature 4K UHD (only on Xbox Series X), 60 FPS, and 3D audio support.
The upgrade was announced as part of Xbox Games Showcase: Extended, which also confirmed the revival of Xbox Design Lab. It's been a great little showcase, shedding light on games with new gameplay and developer interviews.

Only finished this for the first time last week but will replay it after the patch.
When you mean 3d audio do you mean Doby Atmos?
@John117 it is. Gameinformer lied on their podcast. Should've known... I'll definitely be trying this out finally, when the upgrade comes.
A very good game gets even better. Highly recommended.
