Psychonauts 2 is coming - it really is. Double Fine has consistently promised us and finally, marketing for the game truly seems to be coming into full swing. Things have been quiet for a while outside of the odd trailer each year, but now Game Informer has providing huge coverage on the game and a ton of stunning screenshots have surfaced from that.
One user has uploaded a wide range of images from their coverage over on the Xbox Era forums, and it may showcase one of the prettiest Xbox games we've seen in a long time. It's colourful, has a unique art style, and unlike any other game out there. From neon lit casinos, to the iconic character designs, there's something about Psychonauts 2 that really shines and we can't wait to get our hands on it.
These join some images that Double Fine previously shared, which again, are eye wateringly beautiful. Psychonauts 2 also briefly appeared on the Xbox Store earlier this month, but was quickly taken down. It seems like we're not far off the launch, but in the meantime, you should absolutely check out the original game on Xbox Game Pass. It's a classic.

Looks absolutely amazing - and makes me hope for a remaster of the original one day! With re-rendered cut-scenes etcetera.
3D Platformer masterpieces are a very rare bread indeed, need preserving, and Psychonauts definitely qualifies as worthy of remastering.
Come on Double Fine! - make it the next project after this! I'd honestly prefer P1 remaster over a new project.
Wow! Ratchet and Clank can go hide!
No, just kidding. It looks good, but not as good as Sony’s incoming blockbuster yet.
@Lando_ apperently this game started with a Kickstarter campaign so definitely not on Ratchet and Clank budget and production levels. I haven't seen the R&C videos but I can only imagine how good that game looks. I hope this game is fun, the double fine games usually are so I'm looking forward to this even though i haven't played the first one yet. A good platform game is always a plus.
Are those ray-traced reflections that I see?
This game looks interesting. I really need to dive back into the first game and finish it. I only got through the first level before stopping.
I'm loving the first game more than I did back in the days. So much originality!
