Outriders' Xbox patch is now available, but while cross-play is now live between platforms, it seems there's now been an increase in inventory wipes.
Not long after this update went live the Outriders' socials shared another message stating how the developer was "aware" and "deeply sorry" players were still encountering this problem, and that it was doing everything it could to resolve the problem as soon as possible.
It's now the top priority for the team at People Can Fly and as soon as it's resolved, the playerbase will be updated:
The plan is to run a "one-off" mass restoration in the coming week(s), so anyone affected will see their items restored.
However, the developer can't make any guarantees:
"Please note that these are our intentions that we are providing here for transparency. While we will try our hardest to make things right, we unfortunately cannot make guarantees for the specifics of the above or the timeline of this, as we may run into technical difficulties that delay our work."
In order to help the team understand this issue better, it's asking for players to submit feedback via the Outriders subreddit. Have you fallen victim to this bug? Leave a comment down below.

I think the developer and publisher were majorly caught off guard with how popular this game has become.
On one hand this sounds like they have to do file recovery, not a undo bad data bug. On the other I still feel bad for them, just had to deal with a case sensitivity issue recently when I rm'd by hand on an exFAT file system.
I have to give the developers props at least they have been informing us on what's going on and how they are going about fixing it. So many developers are satisfied pushing out a broken game nowadays and calling it a day. Props to People Can Fly for doing the right thing.
That really sucks to lose all your weapons and gear like that, Hopefully they fix this ASAP.
