Metro Exodus Rated In Taiwan

Update: It's been announced today that Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition is coming to PC as soon as May 6, but there's no word on the console versions yet. Hopefully we won't have to wait too much longer!

Original story: The upcoming Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S version of Metro Exodus (which is a free upgrade for current owners) may be on the horizon, as a recent rating in Taiwan suggests a release is imminent.

As is typically the case with game ratings, more often they not they release a couple of months after being rated. Having been spotted on a Taiwanese ratings board, it seems likely we can expect the game within the near future.

A couple of other games received ratings before their official release dates earlier this year. Tales From The Borderlands was spotted a month before its revival on the Xbox store, and MLB The Show 21 was also rated around the same time. Both titles have now made their way to Xbox, so it seems likely that Metro Exodus' Xbox Series X|S upgrade could be with us fairly shortly.

4A Games and Deep Silver announced the next-gen upgrade back in February, but did not pinpoint a release date at the time. It's expected to include features such as ray tracing and 4K, 60FPS on Xbox Series X, so it should be a good one! The outlined changes seemed to indicate it will be a substantial upgrade.

"Metro Exodus will run at 4K / 60FPS with full Ray Traced lighting throughout on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. The base game and DLC expansions will feature both our ground-breaking Ray Traced Global Illumination (RTGI) and the Ray Traced Emissive Lighting techniques pioneered in The Two Colonels expansion across all content."
