E3 will return for 2021 in the form of a digital event, and Xbox has been confirmed to be one of the attendees, along with a host of other companies.

The event will run from June 12 until June 15, and along with Xbox, it will feature appearances from Nintendo, Capcom, Konami, Ubisoft, Take-Two Interactive, Warner Bros. Games, and Koch Media, as revealed by the Entertainment Software Association in a press release.

E3 2021 will be a completely online event, featuring game announcements and news, broadcast to everyone around the world. According to the press release, the ESA will be working alongside the media to “amplify and make this content available to everyone for free”.

While no specifics of the event outside of the dates and attendees has been made public yet, eager fans can sign up for direct updates on the show ahead of its arrival here.

Plans had been mentioned of an event this year, but no confirmed details had surfaced until now. Rumours of a physical event were speculated, but were then reportedly cancelled. Summer Games Fest is also returning and being helmed by Geoff Keighley, so we're going to have plenty of gaming news in the coming months. Exciting times!
