Techland has today finally provided an official update on the progress of Dying Light 2, reiterating that the game is still planned for a 2021 release, and even providing a new look at some gameplay footage in the process.

In the video above, the team explains that Dying Light 2 is a "huge and complex project, and we needed time to make sure it will live up to our vision," promising that it will be ready to start talking about the game in more detail "very very soon", and asking fans to "stay with us just a bit longer" before more news arrives.

Earlier this week, the game's community manager reassured fans that despite concerns, the game was "far from being in a development hell," and that there's no need to be worried about the prospect of Dying Light 2 getting cancelled.
