A new texture pack for Call of Duty: Warzone has gone live, which is said to add “the most detailed textures for weapons and Operators” for Xbox One X and Xbox Series X players.
Weighting in at 7.9GB, High Resolution Pack 3 is a new optional update that sets out to improve the game’s visuals even further. This makes it the third pack to do so, as two have previously worked to push the game’s graphical fidelity. Upon loading the game, applicable players are offered the opportunity to download the pack, or do so at a later date.
This will obviously increase Call of Duty: Warzone’s file size even further, so make sure you have enough space before you commit to the upgrade. Hopefully the pack is worth it and offers a noticeable improvement in its visuals department.
Will you be picking up High Resolution Pack 3 for Call of Duty: Warzone? Let us know in the comments below.

Does warzone even fit on a series s?
@PhhhCough If it fits on PS5’s non expandable limited storage then it will definitely fit on Series S which uses lower res textures.
This game already occupies 230 GB on my XSX. No way am I downloading that.
@gollumb82 So, you'd rather play it not looking it's best? What's 7.9Gb if you are already in for 230Gb? It is ridiculous, and I considered uninstalling altogether. But, if I'm going to play a competitive multiplayer game, I'm going to play it looking it's best.
@Trmn8r
Actually, I play MW multiplayer. I'm not a big fan of Battle Royale in general. You're right, though. The size of CoD games is approaching ridiculous proportions and I might just get right of it and stick to Battlefield.
@gollumb82 230GB!!!!! Holy s&^$! That's ridiculous!
Why is this game so freaking big?! I have played the game and it doesn't scream 230GB.
@GamingFan4Lyf
Yeah, it is. To be honest, I don't really know. When I installed the game I just checked all the available components (including high res patches etc) and when I checked it yesterday I was shocked to see it at 230 GB. There's no reason for any game to be this big IMO.
I tried this and found my online team death match game on my Series X to stutter slightly after so I've removed it again for now. I have a Sony 4K OLED and am using the Series X cable, it doesn't have HDMI 2.1 though, only 2.0.
Meanwhile I’m having much more fun with Enlisted which weights in at a measly 15 GB. I’ve got the space for Warzone but it’s download size is just ridiculous.
@Trainer I agree, I've played Warzone maybe twice, I usually play team death match in COD MW, but you can't uninstall Warzone, they really want to push it on you to get that in app purchasing income.
Anyone else finding that when you install High Res Texture Pack 3 it disables High Res Texture Pack 2 and thinks it’s not installed. Can’t judge this pack until I find a solution to this issue 🤦♂️
Deleted modern warfare yesterday because it once again had yet another update that I couldn't install because I needed a tonne of empty space to install it why can't warzone be a separate install I don't play warzone & apart from the extra space it takes up I don't want to have to update the game everytime warzone gets updated
@gollumb82 that is utterly absurd; even more so when you look at how some developers are actually making games smaller this gen. Hitman 2 on Xbox One with all Hitman 1 legacy content installed is around 110GB, while Hitman 3 on Series X with all Hitman 1 and 2 legacy content installed is 60-70GB. But yeah, Activision, you push out a game that uses up well over half the space of some SSD's 🤨
@VenomousAlbino
As the others have said, you buy Modern Warfare and you get the impression it's actually Warzone with MW tacked on. I might just go back to World War 2 as I really liked it and there's no battle royale nonsense there.
Awesome that they are still including updates to the Xbox One X Warzone. It looks better on my xbox one x than my PS5. Downloading now!
