Astro Confirms All Of Its Gaming Headsets Are Xbox Series X Compatible

You might remember that back in March, Astro confirmed that its gaming products designed for Xbox One would continue to offer continuous compatibility on Xbox Series X, even despite its lack of optical audio port. And now, the company has provided more details about exactly how they will work on the system.

Astro says that its entire line of gaming headsets will function on Xbox Series X, but some may require a firmware update which will be available via the Astro Command Center software on the console's launch day.

  • A10 Headset
    • Gen 1 – Supports game sound and voice chat via the 3.5mm port on the Xbox Controller.

All ASTRO Xbox products can also utilize Windows Sonic for Spatial Audio.

In addition, Astro has confirmed that all of its gaming headsets will continue to retain full compatibility with the Xbox One even after applying the firmware update, so you'll be able to seamlessly switch between the two.
