Update: We've updated the "timed exclusives" section below with various PS5 games that are described as being "console exclusive for a limited time."
Original Story: Sony held a digital event for the PS5 yesterday, which included the reveals of a selection of games coming to Xbox Series X as well. We've already covered plenty of them here at Pure Xbox over the past few hours, but just in case you missed them, here's a roundup!
The following games are 100% confirmed to be coming to Xbox Series X, and are not timed exclusives as far as we're aware. Here's the list so far:
Additionally, more games were shown that are timed exclusives. None of these have been officially confirmed as coming to Xbox Series X at the time of writing, however the phrase "console exclusive for a limited time, also available on PC" appears in their PS5 trailers:
- Kena: Bridge of Spirits
- Ghostwire: Tokyo
- Deathloop
- Godfall
- Stray
- Bugsnax
- Oddworld Soulstorm
- Goodbye Volcano High
- Jett: The Far Shore
- Solar Ash
- Little Devil Inside
- Project Athia
That's all we have for now, but there's a chance more Xbox Series X games from the event might be made apparent over the next few days. If we learn of any others, we'll update this post accordingly.

I can't wait for Resi 8. That's what I'm most excited for. There are rumors that Demon's Souls Remake is a timed exclusive, and I really hope it is, because that'd be like a dream come true for me. That and Bloodborne coming to Xbox, of course ^^
I liked RE VIII, Pragmata, & Deathloop looked awesome.
Edit - And, of course, Hitman 3. Duh.

I highly doubt Bloodborne will ever come to Xbox. But it is going to PC, so it’s no longer a PlayStation exclusive.
I'm a big Resident Evil fan. VII is not my favourite because it ditched the third-person camera and most characters and also it's more gory and VIII is its direct sequel but hey, I'll take it.
I'm sure that the Square Enix games will be released on Series X too.
@KelticDevil Yeah, I figure it won't ever come to Xbox. It's just a dream of mine I guess. I definitely am hopeful Demon's Souls comes to Xbox, though, but we'll see.

The original Demon’s Souls was a PS3 exclusive at the time. And I can’t remember if Sony helped fund the game or not.
But these days, who knows? Anything can happen. 😁
I'd be surprised if Deathloop didn't make the jump. That's a Bethesda game, they're never exclusive.
GT7 and Ratchet & Clank are the two exclusives I really want to play. Not sure if I would buy a console just for those games but time makes fools of us all. Very excited for the Xbox event!! This is looking like a good generation!
Demon souls is one of my favourite games! So between that, hzd2 and ratchet and clank I'm definitely getting a ps5 (and series x! Before people start losing their minds)

Hopefully GTAV I’ll be upgraded for free via Smart Delivery. I’ve already bought the game twice on 360 and One so won’t pay for a third time.

It might sound silly, but Little Devil Inside just looks so interesting lol. i actually think it might be coming to Series X as well, although depending on the price of the discless ps5 i'm probably getting both.

I think the only game I'm kind of jealous of is Demon's Souls. And Project Aitha, if it never comes to Xbox. But everything I'm really really interested are eventually coming over so I'm happy with the presentation.
@KelticDevil That's true. Sony even published the game in almost every territory except for the U.S. because Sony U.S.A. didn't think it would sell so Atlus stepped in. Unfortunately just because Atlus published it it doesn't change that Sony owns it. So it's sad knowing we'll never play it.
Totally of topic, Xbox one x has been £260 in the UK for about a week and sold out at that price everywhere, Argos, smyths toys and Microsoft store etc.
I Now a good few people scrambling around trying to buy one at that price and can’t.
Why don’t companies get their act together and make sure there is enough stock.
Microsoft could sell lots more at that price right now, which leads to more games and peripheral sale and more games pass members. The games business always seems to do this with spot sales.
@FraserG wonder if they all are the full standard year. On the curious side, such timed exclusives tend to release as expanded and improved definitive editions when the time exclusivity is up.
That said, shocked about Godfall. Thought that one was truly on the same boat as Titanfall 1 and Deadrising 3 (permanently exclusive third party titles even if the IP as a whole wasn’t.)
@ThePrettySenshi I’m not hyped for it but as someone that loved Gone Home and Life is Strange, I’m intrigued by it. Might just not even wait and get it for the PS4, I think that one is cross-gen. And as a 2d game, BC mode is more than good enough when/if I ever get a PS5 down the line.
@Tharsman yeah, Goodbye Volcano isn't going to be like a system seller or anything. But I like having games to kind of offset the bombastic nature of most AAA games. It's like movies. It gets kind of exhausting when all there is are Marvel or Michael Bay films.
If anyone ever gets the chance, Wandersong is a 2D game with a story filled with heart and great characters.
