Capcom has announced that Resident Evil Village is coming to Xbox Series X in 2021. The company unleashed a three-minute Announcement Trailer as part of the Sony PS5 digital event earlier today, which you can see above.
The game is said to take place a few years after Resident Evil 7 biohazard, with Ethan Winters
and his wife Mia having found peace. However, the return of Chris Redfield (yes, that's right!) and his "shocking actions" cause Ethan to end up in a mysterious, snow-covered village.
Unlike the claustrophobic hallways of the Baker mansion, Resident Evil Village provides a different kind of terror: The fear of the unknown. Each encounter is another fight for survival, with a first-person perspective making things that much more personal as you chart unknown territory. There’s much more to the village than what you see on the surface.

Very excited for this game.
Getting major RE4 vibes from this already; creepy village, huge castle in the background... I'm ready for it.
We just need a few Bingo one-liners sprinkled in there now!
Do we get to kill Chris? Always thought he was the weakest of all the characters in the series
This looks very exciting!
Glad it's releasing on Series X...
Most exciting thing I've seen this evening. Can't wait!
Glad it's skipping current gen. Glad 3rd parties are ditching it faster than 1st party.
I got to say that trailer got me.
“Hey... is this... Resident Evil? Oh no it’s some new game called VILLAGE....”
VIII... 🤯

He's really sexy in Resident Evil 5. Those biceps. mmmmmm
Yea this was probably the best game of the show for me.
This trailer is so mindblowing to me. It's damn near perfect! It has a Resi 4 vibe with the atmosphere and setting, and it almost reminds me of Dark Souls in how grim and dark it appears. I'm so excited for it! I'm a big Resi fan, and can't wait to play it on Series X. Really hope it has 4k 60fps with ray tracing and HDR! Even if it doesn't have HDR, I will have the AI HDR to make it look amazing
I for one love the new direction. I've been wanting a horror game very much like this for years, but never would have thought Resi would be the one to do it. Makes The Order: 1886 look even more feeble than it already was in comparison.
