Every single time we post a story about games being added to the backward compatibility list, we get a slew of Facebook comments all shouting "DUH BLACK OPS WHEN?"

Folks are clamouring for the shooter (and every other Call of Duty game, because apparently they're the only games that exist) to be added to the back-compat service, and Microsoft's own Major Nelson gets inundated with the same requests, even when he isn't talking about backward compatible stuff.

Still, the good Major has had to put out a fire today, as somebody at Microsoft decided it'd be a grand idea to send out an email to subscribers that states that BioShock, BioShock 2, BioShock Infinite, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Skate 3, and Halo Wars are all "now available" with backwards compatibility. If you got an email with the image above in it, you can disregard it.

On Reddit, the Major said:-

"This is inaccurate. I got the same email and tracking down why this was sent. Sorry about that."

So, you'll have to wait a bit longer.

However, there's good news for Xbox Preview Program members, as Halo Wars will be backward compatible for them at some point today, it has been confirmed. As for the other titles in the email...well, they could turn up at any time.
