Hey guys, new to the website, I appreciate all help and feedback. So essentially my question is , an I able to play ALL of my purchased games through the Xbox app, on a PC. I had to get rid of my Xbox one x console, and I'm thinking about getting a gaming laptop to replace it, it's more portable and I can do other things with Windows.
I have done a lot of research, I am aware of cloud gaming , and certain games on Game Pass are available, BUT as far as I understand, it is ONLY certain games that can be played.
Is this correct ? Basically I want to be able to play every game I have purchased on my account , which is a LOT of games lol, is this possible ? Or an I limited to certain games?

At least for now, you're limited. The only games you'll be able to play natively (that you already own) are the ones that are "Xbox Play Anywhere" enabled, and the only games that support cloud gaming at the moment are the ones included with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate - although not ALL of them work with cloud play.

Microsoft has talked in the past about wanting to let people play non-Xbox Game Pass titles through the cloud in the future, but they seem to have gone quiet on this over the past year.

Yep that's what I figured, I appreciate you, this helps 👍 I have a lot of money invested in games on my account, I think I'll just grab another console lol,I don't want to miss out. I looked at the list of compatible games , there are a few I like, but most are ones I've purchased and NOT on Game Pass. I hope in the future, Microsoft will make the games compatible across the board.

@jdog00 Basically since about 2017, Sea of Thieves, you'll find most (if not ALL) first Party games were Play Anywhere if you bought them as MS 'merged' Xbox into 'Microsoft' properly instead of running it as a separate side business. 3rd Party Publishers probably don't have Play Anywhere options either so its going to be a 'limited' selection of titles you may already own on PC.

However, if you are considering the 'long' term future, you could buy a Gaming PC instead as ALL Microsoft games will release on PC/Game Pass day/date and certainly Play Anywhere. You won't need to buy a Series S/X for example. It just depends on whether you want to keep playing your 'older' games without repurchasing - although your save files may well remain in some games or more interested in PC gaming where you don't need to pay for online and can also use other Gaming companies to 'buy' games - like Steam, Epic etc as well as all the emulation options too...

A pessimist is just an optimist with experience!

Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??

Feel free to add me but please send a message so I know where you know me from...
