Crazy there's only 60 comments on what's definitely the biggest xbox game launching this year. I tend to get overwhelmed with giant games myself, so I'm hoping Bethesda makes the game easy to navigate and has meaningful quests to keep me engaged.
@NintendoByNature I'll save Sea of Stars for a quieter time. The next few months are going to be hectic. Starfield and BG3 (going to play it on my PS5, cant wait lol). Like a Dragon and Persona 5 Tactica in November, december has Avatar and februariyPersona 3 Reload and Granblue Fantasy. And then there are still a lot of maybe games. Way to many games for the time I have haha. But i hope Sea of Stars is a great game and i find the time to play it somewhere in between
I think it will be a 87/88 or around there. I really do expect it to be at least 85 or higher and i hope for Xbox it does score above 90. A lot of people still look at review scores to decide to get a game or not. For me it isn't that important. There are enough 90+ games I dont like and enough lower rated games I do like.
Before the 'scores' drop, I just wanna say I couldn't care less what the 'average' score ends up being - I just want to see a game that is actually ready to play on Day 1 without having to tolerate major bugs and/or performance issues.
The rest is pretty subjective and in a game like Starfield, its more about the freedom, the systems and the 'performance' that matters. If the main story doesn't interest you, you don't 'need' to follow that path for example and your playthrough could be completely different from the 'reviewers' who may have followed 'just' the Main Story to get through it for the 'review'. Therefore I am more interested in seeing how well its been 'finished', its 'polish'. The rest is subjective but you can get an 'idea' of the Performance in general because the scores tend to be 'more consistent'.
Anyway, by the time I finish this and post my reply, the first scores should be out... I'll no doubt play and 'enjoy' (like I enjoy Fallout 4) even if its only '70' on Metacritic. 90+ wouldn't change my opinion - it would more likely indicate a lot more 'polish', the most 'polished' Bethesda game at launch to get more 'consistently' high scores.
A pessimist is just an optimist with experience!
Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??
Feel free to add me but please send a message so I know where you know me from...
