@Sebatrox Stake guns are insane! I think the current one I have does 2400 damage. I save it for tougher enemies since I can only hold 9 Stakes at the moment. UV Guns are my main Vampire Killer [take that Simon Belmont].
@NintendoByNature Have you been doing the ammunition amount upgrades for your character?

@Sebatrox I am at a point where I can move on to the next area, but I am looking for Grave Locks. I found out I am locked out of one because it was only available during a mission.

@Sebatrox This particular Grave Lock is located at:
Dr. Hunt's garage. I already completed his Missions but now his garage is locked out. I think this could easily be fixed with a patch, though. I mean, I believe you have to pick the lock during the mission, so Arkane could either leave it open after the mission is complete or allow the garage door to be opened. Or just require a lockpick any time you want it open.

I'm finally getting the hang of it. And I have to say, it's alot more fun than I expected. Especially after hearing the negative reviews and responses. I've locked down some safe houses, defeated some under bosses, and tried out some new weapons.
I do have a question though. Is the only way to progress to the next area through getting safe houses and doing the missions for each? Then once you've done all of them, I'm assuming you fight a big boss before going to the next area?
I just left off at the part where you find the rally, and I'm not equipped just yet. I need alot more ammo before heading in.
You only need 3 underboss skulls. But I have found that there are cosmetics you can unlock with underboss skulls in special areas on the map.
That's the sad thing about the game.
Yes, right now there are some issues that need ironing out. But I noticed that even in the few reviews I have read that had negative things to say about graphics, controls, shoddy AI have all said they still have fun with the game (despite giving it a low review score). So....isn't the point of a video game to have fun?!
@ralphdibny sorry it took so long to reply. Certainly, no problem tagging me in anything whenever and wherever you want - hard to say I will have a clear docket to get involved, but by all means. Cheers!
@GamingFan4Lyf I did a 3rd underboss last night and I didn't see any markers where I could progress to a new area. The only marker is that big red 'X' but I wasn't able to actually go through the tunnel.
I just found another safe house. I'll do the mission and underboss tonight and see if I can progress after.
In order to fight the boss of the first area you need to progress the main story. But in order to access his area once unlocked, you need Underboss skulls

I'm really glad people are playing this game and talking about it. I was a bit worried the alleged performance issues might tank the thread this month. Always a bit of a risk when we choose a game that hasn't launched yet.
Found the last safe house in the first map last night. Too bad totk has arrived lol. I'll still do my best to show redfall as much love as possible this month. But, it'll be hard
@NintendoByNature I'm in the same boat as you - at least regarding Tears of the Kingdom. I already did all the Safe Houses in the first area and was doing Grave Lock hunting prior to moving on.
I may do a little bit of hunting for Grave Locks from time to time throughout the month, but Redfall may become a wash until I finish Tears of the Kingdom.
But that also means both The Devil In Me AND Callisto Protocol take a backseat. All gaming other than Zelda is "on hold".
But, I'll still happily discuss Redfall with regards to the first area here as the month goes on! I am kind of hoping Arkane drops a new patch soon to perhaps fix a few of the gripes people have been having - especially if it just populating the world with more stuff as a start.
I do have a question for those who have gone through the release version of the beginning of the game (my character progress from my playtest carried):
Was there a Mission that required guarding a crystal from waves of enemies before a stronger vampire spawned as the final "wave"?
@GamingFan4Lyf yea. I think I'll just force myself to do a mission every night. Just so I don't forget the controls and game entirely. I was also playing shantae half genie hero but I can put that to the side for a while.
@AgentCooper All of the main missions have been pretty engaging. I do feel this game is like a patch away from winning more people's favor as long as that patch populates the city a little more:
make the journey to these missions just as "Arkane" as the mission location itself.
Yes, 60fps is important - but the 30fps isn't as much of an obstacle as other games.
Yes, always online for solo needs to get patched out
But just populate the world a little first. Make the streets and neighborhoods a little more "challenging" to get through. Maybe a section is swarming with cultists and vampires. Maybe one has red mist everywhere and some vampires parading around. Maybe one area is empty, but then cut off by Bellwether blockades and snipers on rooftops. Etc. etc.
It doesn't have to be "perfect" given the dynamic nature of the game, but something compelling enough to engage the player inside and outside of scripted mission areas.
I have yet to jump back into Redfall since TotK - but I may take a small break from the Zelda grind to find a few more Grave Markers.
