@oliverp Nah, no Halo expert, I played them all in the last years, but had not played them before. My first Xbox was Xbox One. It was a nice way to understand the evolution of the series. It's quite strategic and I like that. It was also a lot of fun playing all the Gears of War games, that I didn't know were so good, except 5 that isn't that good, in my opinion. Gears of War has been one of my best times playing on Xbox.
@Pastellioli Have you checked that thing about Double NAT, just in case it's the problem?
@Banjo- No, I haven’t checked, and I do feel like it’s more of an issue with the way the WiFi is managed and more on my end. It could have also possibly been a server issue with Overwatch, though it’s all good now.
I forgot to update my initial comment. It did have some occasional lags, but the internet started to run far more smoothly later on and I stayed connected during Overwatch matches It was far more fun this time, even if my last match of the night ended with a loss.
I’m currently playing Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. This game is really freaking good. I’m currently exploring the Vatican and I’m shocked by how open the game is — almost Dishonered-ish with its level design. I’ve spent five hours exploring this area alone and I’m not even remotely finished with its side quests and collectibles, though I solved a handful of puzzles. This game is freaking dense, but in a good way.
I’m also really enjoying how interactive and even cinematic the game feels when using keys or pulling levels, involving you in the process; it’s a nice touch. Even though it’s a departure from what MachineGames usually does, it feels like their type of game. My only complaint so far is how Indy drops his equipped item (weapon) when interacting with said doors or climbing ladders. I wish you could just store the weapon away instead of dropping it and picking it back up. I also wish you could save whenever you wanted. Other than those minor nitpicks, this is a sensational game.
@Kraven crazy how I was coming here to type pretty much EXACTLY what you just said. I'm only a couple hours in and just started exploring the Vatican. It's amazing and I'm far more immersed than I thought I'd be.
I started doing a side quest then quickly got sidetracked by a ladder that lead into a building up high. I'm collecting and rummaging everything I can find, silently taking down as many guards as I can( as long as it's only 1 at a time). I still haven't fired a shot yet though. I'm kind of scared to based on how quickly they react lol.
I found a torch and walked it over to a fireplace in Castel Sant' Angelo I was pleasantly surprised to see it light. I then used it to walk around and search with even more light than before. So cool.
My gripes are pretty much the same but I'm easily looking past them. They're not so bad that it ruins the experience, just a few minor negatives in a overall, phenomenal game thus far. I do find it odd that you can keep a weapon when you move a body, but lose it when you open a door. Unless I'm mistaken on that?
So yea, pretty much, this is easily going to be my goty unless the rest of the game takes a 180. This and echoes of wisdom that is. I seriously can't put the controller down. Damn work tomorrow am!
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. I started it tonight and played it for a few hours and all I can say is what a game. It truly captures the Indy feeling and tone. I am looking forward to putting more time into it tomorrow.

@Kraven@NintendoByNature Nice to read your thoughts. Mine are pretty much the same. It's a refreshing game, with an emphasis on stealth and solving mysteries.
I also like the combat, it suits Indiana Jones. Excellent actors, in between. If you hit an enemy with something, he might change his behaviour and his facial expression. It's fun to parry with one hand and punch with the other, and using improvised weapons. Obviously, it's not a shooter, we have enough of them! The puzzles are challenging and make you think, if you don't turn the easy settings on. There are also interesting ways to use the map and items, in a more immersive way. I'm not the biggest fan of first-person view besides shooters, but in this game it works nicely and you can still see your character quite often. Excellent game!
EDIT:
Let me know if I'm the only one, but my only complaint so far is that you can't knock dogs out. They bite nastily.
EDIT 2: You can scare them with the whip if they find you.
@Banjo- heck yea, agreed on all counts. Except maybe the dog part. I'm kinda glad you can't hurt an animal. Maybe they could've added a treat bribing situation for the dog though hah.
@NintendoByNature I knew it was not politically correct to write that, but it's just a game! 🤣 Treat bribing is not a bad idea, as another type of food you could collect.
Have you and the rest reached the first big dungeon, which is Fountain Underground in my playthrough?
I found out you can return to previous locations, you just press the View button and go to the Travels section. Handy for completing the game properly.
@Banjo- I have finally got to the point where I can progress to the Fountain of Confession, and Indy says “I better wrap up loose ends before I head to … “. So, I just discovered a couple of more hidden side quests and I’m finishing up those and then I’ll make my way into the main story. I absolutely love this game.
It has fantastic level design, and there is so much detail in every facet. I find myself stopping and looking at posters and paintings on the wall (some may even contain secrets). I do think the dogs do some nasty damage but they aren’t too difficult once you figure them out. But the overall combat is really satisfying, not only from a sound design, but it feels good to use melee.
It’s crazy how much content there is in the game, particularly side stuff. I mean, I have heard there are some great set pieces in the game so I can only imagine how much more this game has to offer. I can’t wait.
@Kraven@ZeD I also think it's recommended to tie loose ends if you find yourself about to leave the area and return right away if you have left already.
The Vatican is full of secrets worth revealing. I love how the game combines open areas with classic dungeons/challenges. It's a wonderful adventure, but goes beyond what adventure games usually do.
@Banjo- Yeah, I just finally left the Vatican and managed to collect everything there. I’ve just boarded the airship. But yeah, I am enjoying these dungeons along with organic exploration that is always rewarding.
About 6-8hrs in I was finally ready to move on from the Vatican in Indy. This game is so amazing its truthfully hard to believe anyone could feel otherwise. My only one negative is how easy it is to be ganged up on. Even so it's not too bad, most of the time you respawn fairly close to where you died. Other than that, superb experience. Exploration, combat, puzzles, set pieces, characters, all top notch experience. Easily the best xbox game I've played since Hi Fi. Starfield was really good, but this is right up my alley.
So far, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is a 10/10 game, despite not being completely on board with the Vatican idea at first. Now, I don't want to leave the Vatican after completing it 100%. I can find a few flaws, but not enough to lower that score. I love the musical cues like when a captain sees you. My initial complaint about dogs is no big deal since you can scare them with the whip and once I got the Blackshirt uniform, I haven't had to deal with any. Performance is flawless, but some cutscenes have stutter. There was a part when I thought, "The game is glitched because it's new, I can't believe this area has no exit", but it wasn't glitched. After collecting Oceanus I spent like 30 minutes trying to get out of there and couldn't find the exit. It wasn't that difficult to find, I just had to swim through a crevice that I had not seen for some reason. The graphics, music, performance and exploration are excellent and combat is fun and often optional.
I wrote about the game and also shared some tips here that I think may be helpful:
@PeaceSalad absolutely what I've been doing. I've only used my gun twice. Once was in the first major boss fight, and the second time was shortly after that when I got a machine gun off the guard and knew I was going to die anyway. For the most part, I'm sneakily taking out every enemy.
Played some Black Ops 6 MP and Zombies with the boys Last night. I had to try out Christmas Nuketown a few times and I am really enjoying this year's Zombies alot. Might play a bit more tonight if the fellows are around if not possibly some Indy since I don't have to get up early for work tomorrow.

I’m nearing the end of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. I’m trying to mop up a few last side quests — I only have two left — and then I’ll beat the game. It’s been an incredible experience so far. I’m not sure what is next up for me after Indiana, but I am considering Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order or The Outer Worlds Spacer’s Choice edition.
I’m about to beat Indiana Jones. I absolutely loved the game. With that said, I’m kind of bummed out because two achievements are bugged for me, stopping me from getting all 1000/1000 points. I hope there will be patches in the future to remedy this.
