So I have the disc versions of Little Nightmares 2 & Dying Light: The Following and both of them are having trouble downloading their respective updates.
LN 2 keeps saying ‘You need this update but we can’t get it right now’ & Dying Light gets halfway through its download and just says ‘Installation stopped’.
LN 2 just straight up won’t boot at all if my Xbox is online because of this damn update. I think it’s the Series X/S upgrade cos the game is showing as in the ‘Xbox One’ section of my hard drive rather than ‘Optimised for Series X/S’.
Been though the obvious (hard drive space, delete & reinstall, clear cache, etc) then went on the chat with Xbox and tried everything under the sun with no luck. They then suggested using the ‘Report a problem’ on my Series X (which I’ve done) but I just wondered if someone has had this issue before & knows what it is and how to fix it?
I’ve seen vague things during my googling about sometimes some ISP’s have firewalls that don’t connect to certain parts of Xbox Live. Maybe it’s that, I’ve no idea. 🤷‍♂️
Any help would be much appreciated. 🤞

I’ve had the “installation stopped” issue a few times lately (XSX). Firstly I would suggest doing a full shutdown - settings>general>sleep mode&start up>full shut down - then unplug console for a minute or two before powering back up. Then in your download queue click on “clear all”. I’m not saying this will work, but it worked for me when I was trying to download DL2.

@HoodedSpirit Have your tried freeing internal storage up? The only times I had this issue was because there was little free space. It's better to move some games to another drive and move them back to the internal storage/expansion card when you're ready to play them. It works like a charm.
