@Banjo- great feedback thank you. I figured I was missing something here. This game Is definitely worth exploring I agree. This helps though, since I was getting caught nonstop. Thank you, I'll check out voss' camp tonight.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has been a massive success in US and other countries, right behind Call of Duty and not even counting the premium edition with early access nor Game Pass, where it has been on top in many countries around the world. Well deserved!
@PeaceSalad It's one of the few games I have completed 100% that was never boring or exhausting. On the contrary, I still felt like playing, so I'm looking forward to the DLC. I'm also glad to read that you have found some people here supportive and reliable. 🙌
I've managed to get through suhkothai and I'm now in Iraq for what seems to be the final showdown. Glad to see the character twist here. Can't say I saw it coming, so I was very neat. This Is one of those games that's going to stick with me for a while. All the supporting actors and Troy baker being indy exceeded all my expectations. Gina is awesome and a loveable character, Tony Todd being locus is just amazing, voss is someone you love to hate( because of how convincing he is), and I can't say enough about troys Harrison Ford impression. He is spot on. Like others have said, having meaningful side quests goes such a long way. Especially for someone who rarely partakes in that part of games. Aside from the medicine bottle collecting, or photograph taking, these side quests feel like main story missions. Without even finishing this game off, I can honestly say it's an 11/10. One of the very best games I've played in my nearly 35 years of gaming.
@NintendoByNature I'm so glad that you enjoyed it so much! I think the music in this game is also really wonderful.
@PeaceSalad I was planning the opposite by the end of the year. Lately, the hatred towards Xbox has been too much for an Xbox site and most of the comments sections have become a trolling rubbish bin. The most interesting posters are also the quietest and that's a shame, but they must have been busy playing games in 2024.😁
@PeaceSalad@Banjo- for sure. Such a treat for us to play this gem. Had it come out a few weeks prior, it may have been nominated at the game awards. Not that it matters all too much, but the recognition would've been great.
@PeaceSalad I am looking forward to the DLC! Internet is often a waste of time and I have been avoiding some discussions lately, but sometimes it's rewarding to share and know what others think. 😉
Played a few more hours today. I finally got the black shirt disguise which is nice. I did the Boxing ring as well. Story wise I finished the nun quests which were fun I like the nod to Indy's dad. Now I am currently wrapping up side quests in the Vatican before moving on. Right now I am trying to get the rest of the ancient relics but having a bitch of a time getting the on underground. Also I think I messed up with the medicine bottles but unfortunately I can't fix it unless I restart the game.
Also I just found out that you can bust open the lock boxes buy just swinging at them with a Melee weapon, better late then never lol.
And is it me or at stealth attacks so satisfying in this game?

@Tasuki yea, I learned probably after quite a few hours about busting locks. Fyi, you can use your own gun to do that fyi. Love the stealth takedowns too.
One thing I eventually had trouble with was my gun was broke mid way through the game and I couldn't fix it. Not sure why.
@NintendoByNature Did you try the repair kits? That's what they are for, or so I heard. They repair the suit weapons, like the cane for the Clerical outfit.

So.just wrapped up the Vatican and all I can say is OMG what an epic time I had. Everything I did from exploring the temple.to making.my through the Vatican vaults just oozed with Indy feeling. I especially love the giant fight (R.I.P. Tony Todd). I seriously didn't want to stop.playing the game. Thankfully I have tomorrow off from work, so I know what I will be doing tomorrow.

Started Giza yesterday and I already cleared two fieldwork assignments and am currently going around collecting the collectibles and just getting familiar with the area. Alot more open then the Vatican it seems. I already got the digsite disguise and found the Nazi fighting area which I am guessing I will need a Nazi disguise to enter it like the blackshirt in the Vatican.

Got a bit further in the story yesterday. I infiltrated Voss's office after that I did some exploring. I managed to get the Nazi uniform so now traveling around Giza is a whole lot easier. Doing so I was able to enter the boxing ring, finish that, grab a bunch of medicine bottles, books and relics overall a fairly accomplished time.
My biggest grip is I wish there was some sort of vehicle in the game at least in Giza at least let me grab a motorcycle. While the Vatican wasn't to bad to travel mainly cause everything was so close together and you can go across the rooftops, and climb through the different buildings in Giza everything is just so spread out. As a result I can only play an hour or so before I just get tired of aimless traveling. I don't know about later levels and quite frankly I don't want too but this is my biggest gripe with Giza.
@PeaceSalad Boxing is about defending and counterattacking just twice each time, but you can "cheat" if you lower the combat difficulty and lower the damage that enemies cause.
@Tasuki Upgrade your stamina when possible and before your health (that you can improve in the difficulty menus). I enjoyed the exploration in this game immensely. I only found Sukhothai a bit more frustrating to navigate, but it also brings variety, a boat that Gina can bring if you call her, more water that looks stunning in this game, interesting underground puzzles and underwater challenges. Remember also that you can fast travel if you check the signposts, so you don't need to walk all the time.
@PeaceSalad I understand the stubbornness, we want to know what's wrong and how we are supposed to solve it. Something I like about Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is that the interaction and puzzles are logical and realistic. I'm not a fan of Insomniac and Naughty Dog's games because the gameplay isn't good, they can only nail the cinematic feel.
Well finished up Giza today and continued on with the story. I gotta say I loved the battleship level had alot of fun with that one. I tackeled it by doing alot of shooting for some reason it just felt right lol. I also managed to go through Shanghai which I loved the Last Crusade reference during the airplane part and started Siam. I will say that they story really picks up once you finish Giza. Looking forward to playing some more my next day off of work.

So got.a question for you all are you collecting the ancient relics? Cause there are a few in some levels I am wondering if I need to come back and get later. Should I just go forward with the story and once I am done come back to the levels? Once you beat the story can you go back to the levels?
