Started playing destiny 2 , i got as far as the robot spiders outside , but when i leave the game and restatr it takes me back to the begining saying i need a rifle first and already got one ? How can i save my progress to stop this ?
@synthkid You need to get to the next waypoint/checkpoint AFTER you defeated the Spiders. Otherwise, the part where you need to defeat them will be the default waypoint every time you restart the game.
Also, if you return to the solar system map screen after you've defeated them, it counts as a completed mission, which should then be saved, so you can move on.
So, what it basically sounds like to me, is that you did not finish that mission entirely, to get you to the next check point.
You could always check an online playthrough of the first chapter, to see how others do it.
