Topic: Account Locked

Hello Everyone, has anyone else been locked out of their account for “possibly suspicious activity?” I go through all the steps and unlock my account, I click continue to go back into my account and it immediately says my account has been locked again. I have done this process over and over again, probably at least 30 times. Eventually it tells me to use another verification method and then does not provide me with another option except my phone number, which is already been used. Any help would be appreciated.

@Tasuki, I should have been more clear, this is for my Microsoft/ Xbox account that I am having issues with. I will send them a message either way.

@RickGrimes94 OH well its and Xbox issue then no one can help here as this site is not affiliated with MS. You would have to contact Microsoft.

Yeah that is the problem. I can’t contact them if I can’t sign in. It is all automated, the phone number is an automated voice and won’t transfer you to anyone. They say that “for security reasons no one can help with your account over the phone, you must visit the help center.” Or something like that.

@RickGrimes94 Well I would try email, using a different email if you have to or maybe just calling. Pretty sure there is a way to get hold of them if you dont have an account.

I found a form to submit to reinstate your account but it was hard to find on the sign-in helper. Live chat didn’t work because it is all AI now. When I called they would direct me to the sign in helper. I finally found the form I needed. It is hidden behind a hyperlink that says “click here” after you go into the helper and run through all the steps. Hopefully this helps someone out in the future.

Surely, you must have said or sent a message that was against the community rules.

Nope, I didn’t do anything that I know of. It says that there has been some “recent suspicious activity.” That it was locked because I “might have violated,” some terms and conditions, but I haven’t done anything that I know of. All I do is get on my Xbox and play battlefield and use it for a multi media platform. My Microsoft account I use for Co-pilot and that is about it. So it could be something with Co-Pilot but I have no idea.

@RickGrimes94 Once you restore your Microsoft account, enable 2-step verification, if you have not. You can use mobile app Microsoft Authenticator.
