Re: Talking Point: How Much Has The Xbox Outage Affected You?

Pc gamer. We hav on xbox, steam, ea etc services that has a feature called offline mode or such for anything installed to keep playing our games. If a games service dies its not tied to xbl or psn. So it doenst interfere with our gaming. If a service gets completely pulled from support then a communities usually revive it. Again not needing psn and xbl. Negating dedicated service fees. P2p is awsome as the servers never die. Gtao is P2P and it was the same for gta4 too. Without dedicated servers the owners has less responsibility to service it. Unless its unprotected with secure boot and anticheat or denuvo to screw the modders that cheat. Im all out for anti tampering software and security and nondedicated servers. Because again. Pc rules. Because we have offline ownership support for our digital games. Xbox and playstation dont... If xbox are and sony are anticonsumer give them the finger and get a pc. You'll get better benefits and service respect and total ownership of your games. Especially from gog or steam and such only on pc. If you go to settings on the xbox app then go to app then go to offline permissions. It states you can continuously play your owned games offline. Steam has it too.and i think epic has it, gog is drm free, ea app has it too, ubisoft connect has offline mode too rockstar games has offline mode. So again. You want ownership somewhat better get a pc. There older games on discs from the 90s-2013 outthere than can still run on win11. If you need 16bit support head over to group policy editior amd disable the 16bit compatibility blocker. The n go to you gpu settings enable upscaling for games that cant run below 720p even for those unstable 600x480 and 800x600 games. There's even communities out there that preserve and fix broken games too... Something capcom won't bother with and many other companies to that have abandoned many IPs before 2013. Again pc rules. Over consoles by far. Oh i bet no one even knows this but if you set your console to primary or home console for example for xbox your games will be offline supported for owned games. If you have relied on getting games from ps or xbox subscriptions you dont own them and of course the console offline features will negate them. Even if you stop paying the subscription your will also lose you ps+ or gamepass redeemed games. If you have not bought a single game then is tough luck for you you lazy suckers.
