Re: Where To Buy The ROG Xbox Ally & ROG Xbox Ally X Handhelds

I have the rog ally x and the legion go 1. The ally x is to similar to the rog xbox ally x to consider getting one. I also prefer my legion go to the ally and I am trying to sell my ally. For me the legion go 2 is a far better spec than the ally. Plus the display is far better and it does the same things as the ally x.

When you compare the current Windows ally handheld specs to the Xbox ally ones they are identical. There may be a tweak to the boot up system but nothing else. Yet the Xbox ones are going to cost alot more. If you shop around argos are selling the lower spec ally for £450 and currys the higher spec for £800. Both prices are much cheaper than the Xbox ones so it doesn't make sense. I myself own a legion go and have for a year now with enhanced storage and it comes with steam, epic and obviously game pass etc. It runs games perfectly well and the streaming is smooth. So if you want to save money for something and aren't bothered about the Xbox branding it makes common sense.

Re: What Games Can You Play On The ROG Xbox Ally Handheld?

I have a legion go which is roughly the same for playing games via game pass, steam etc and that was £700 . The question is for people who have these or similar handheld is are they going to spend an obscene amount of money for something similar but they already have. The big question will be price and do Microsoft keep the price lower and competitive or just think about profit margins. Especially with the switch 2 out which I have bought and very impressed with it. In my opinion anything more than over £600 for the more powerful handheld I think it will struggle to sell.
