@Generik totally agree. I've been amazed by Xbox one a kinect 2, I'm just not sure how well Microsoft have "sold" it to the public...too many screw ups and bad press which is a shame...I think any doubters that gave it a try would be converted straight away.
Think I'll be getting this, depends a bit on how ryse reviews though. Quick question why is there PS adverts throughout this site? Just seems a bit odd, on a pure xbox site...and looking at your sister site they don't return the favor
Fanboyism seems to be almost like a call back to the primeval days of war between rival clans...you are born into a clan and defend it with your life. Seriously some people actually do seem to take it that seriously. I'm only getting an xbone but that's only because I only want/can afford one console and I've enjoyed the 360 enough not to change "sides". Not trying to start anything here but the big sites it does seem to be almsot exclusively ps fanboys...nearly every xbox review the comments section is inundated with ps fanboys... I don't know if "xbots" give as good as they get on ps reviews too, maybe they do. Lets just hope neither new console has the red or yellow lights of death or all hell will break loose!
@FullbringIchigo Have to agree, its not so much rewarding us die hards who've owned a 360 since launch and have probably nearly all got or at least played every game on this reward scheme so far! Mind you I've completed far cry 3 too, think I just play too many games
It's a good job they did a u-turn on not including a headset then! Why the proprietary jack in a day where even rival companies are all trying to conform to the same standards (mobile chargers spring to mind)...strange move by MS.
@SuperKMx That's crazy! I can't help feeling it's because of me even though I've not intentially done anything to upset him; though I don't like being called a troll just because I said I like the game... Let's hope he comes back and accepts people have different opinions on things! It'd be pretty boring if we all agreed on everything!
@szchifo and finally back to your original point, its an entirely new "game", everything about it has been redone. Even the RS1 songs have been tweaked to support muliple tones/auto tone switching now. The session mode if it works as well as i hope could be a standalone "game" all by its self! There is no way it should or could have been dlc or an add-on. You asked just "why?' in your first post and if trying to answer that vague question is trolling then I guess everyone's a troll in your book?
@szchifo I'm not trolling I just so happen to have actually played the game so can give my opinion (please check the ubisoft forums for many other happy users who have been counting the days for RS2014 to be released!) Perhaps you could list these "many other resources that would advance your playing faster and more accurately" and I will be sure to try them as well! So far I've tried books, magazines, free online tutorials, youtube videos, a little known app/software called rock prodigy, "rock guitar for dummies" on PC, nothing even comes close to rocksmith in terms of me WANTING to put in the time and therefore improving my technique. Beleive me if you could see me the day I got rocksmith and compare my playing then to now...its night and day!
@szchifo Paying "alot" of money for something wouldn't mean everyone is happy, quite the opposite in fact (if the game was as flawed as you suggest)...the fact people are happy proves they enjoy using it, regardless of cost.
Just how many lessons could I get for the £40 I paid?! I don't see at all how I could have possibly spent £40 and learned more about playing guitar....I'm no expert but I can now play a fair few songs very well.
Sorry your local music scene didn't like it! To me its far from being just a game, it teaches me how to play songs. Therefore it is a learning tool IMHO.
I think I'd be hard pushed to find a tutor for £40 that could give me the 200+ hours I've spent on rocksmith, some players have spent well over 1000 hours playing. Not bad for £40 if you ask me
@szchifo Well I had owned my guitar a few years and it just gathered dust, this made me pick it up again and I've not stopped since, and I am infinitely better now than I was, yes you don't get taught the theory but you do learn how to play guitar and when I go back now to a song I used to struggle to play the difference is amazing. You can learn the rest of the stuff from youtube, justin etc should you choose but theres no doubt in my mind (and millions of others) how good this software is for making learning to play fun.
On the sales side, they wouldnt make a sequel if it hadn't sold first time round, obviously they dont compare to sales of COD, fifa etc but still, ubi seem happy enough:
Ubisoft has confirmed that music title Rocksmith has sold a very impressive 1.4m units worldwide since its release in October 2011. There have also been 3m track downloads from the game’s digital store.
The publisher is also quoting a study by Research Strategy Group that alleges that Rocksmith is the fastest way to learn to play guitar. 95 per cent of Rocksmith owners reckon the game has helped to improve their skills, apparently.
"We're thrilled with the results," Ubisoft’s US senior VP of sales and marketing Tony Key stated.
"These studies confirm our view that Rocksmith is a huge success at teaching players real guitar skills that are highly effective and enjoyable and will last them a lifetime."
@szchifo huh its a brilliant learning tool that's made guitar fun for me and a huge number of other people...it has very active forums and memberbase. Can't wait for this sequel!

@SuperKMx haha I only clicked this to reply with the same thing...the scanning thing is cool!
Re: Review: Ryse: Son of Rome (Xbox One)
Good review, I can't believe some sites gave this 4/10! It is actually quite a good game while it lasts as you say.
Re: Day One Update Now Only Available Via Xbox Live
I wanted it early for the same reason as above, wish they'd left it up!
Re: New Zealand Ushers in Next Generation of Xbox
@RaymanFan2 cheer up

Re: Battlefield 4 Supports Kinect on Xbox One
If this works it'll be awesome, especially as you say when flying. Suddenly being "forced" into having a kinect won't be a bad thing!

@szchifo Just to clarify, your definition of a troll is anyone who doesn't share your opinion on something? Grow up.
Re: Rocksmith 2014 Full Tracklist Announced
Well I can't wait any way, preordered just wish we got games on the same day as US not a few days after!
