It’s an absolute joke that a huge company like Microsoft sells an “Elite” controller for 3-4x the price of the regular Microsoft Xbox Series S|X controller but yet the cheaper original controller is at least 3-4x more durable…
It’s supposed to be the other way around, isn’t it, Microsoft…??? The build quality + quality control that went into the Series 2 is borderline fraudulent. These things have been known to break if you look at them the wrong way.
Seeing as you skipped on buying the Series 2 controller, I’ll assume you’re unaware of the insanely long battery life it has with the built in pack… It would be a huge step back to go back to AA, and you also don’t have to worry about any battery door issues. I literally charge my Series 2 for maybe 1-2 hours a week, if that.
