Re: Kinect Outsells PlayStation Move 5 to 1 in February

hrnyseany

Ive got 7 games since release for the kinect and have not yet got through them all so when people are saying lack of games, they are simply looking at how many games are out for the kinect and not actually got/playing them all since if you have got quite a few like myself you will understand you wont get thru all the titles before more come out, so SHHHHHHHHHHHH

Re: Gunstringer Gameplay Video Strings You Along

hrnyseany

It does look like great fun to be fair it is totally unique but id like to see someone operating it via the kinect too to see how involving the game is and how much of it was automated. I do wonder if this game will be too easy if all you have to do is wave you right hand across the screen to get a bullet in your chamber locked to each individual target and then act out recoil with your wrist to fire... i hope there is a demo/trial version of this game as im really intrigued

Re: Kinect Web Browser Beats Michael Phelps at His Own Game

hrnyseany

Thats a pretty mint idea how you swim in and out of webpages, my only wonder is how do you go about typing? surely you cant swim into google without telling it what you want to search for lol unless the kinect sees that your in need of swim shorts and sends you to the speedos website lol

Re: Yoostar Promising Countless Clips to Build Your Ideal Collection

hrnyseany

I think developers these days are getting too greedy with the downloadable content abuse going on. They have 180 clips in total by the sounds of it, all ready for production too, but they with hold 100 of them and only bundle you 80 on the disc, so you spend £40 to then spend probably same again downloading each individual clip! i thinks its wrong personally, if its available before production it SHOULD be on the disc not with held in hope to then flog them you as DLC for extra cash!! you see with the likes of Call of duty and the map packs they have continued work after release to help increase the longevity of the game to keep it interesting until the next COD release its not like they withheld them from the actual release! just my 2 pence (cents)

Re: Kinect to Receive an Official Microsoft Controller with Buttons

hrnyseany

I think with the kinect, Microsoft kinda shot themselves in the foot by emphasizing the whole no controller thing as its sales pitch, because i think with the kinect and perhaps a peripheral like a light gun imagine the possibilities with the likes of First Person Shooters and the likes. You could turn the kinect right round and make it work for the hardcore gamers too

Re: Forza 4 Racing to Autumn 2011 Release with Kinect Features

hrnyseany

What i would like to know is, How you going to make this fair if for instance there is online play? If some one is using the kinect someone using a pad or someone using a steering wheel combo? As to me it looks as though when using the kinect it auto accelerates and brakes for you which seems to take away the skill element do you not think?

Re: Microsoft's Plan for the Future of Kinect is Not Just About Gaming

hrnyseany

To be fair I think if Microsoft carry on trying get the kinect doing things away from the xbox and not concentrate on getting more games on it, then Microsoft itself will kill the kinect. I just hope that just because they sold so many units so quickly for the xbox they are not going to just think lets see what else we can sell this on, PC users... theres loads of them, sell it for the PC and ultimately never have any software to use it with

Re: Rumour: Tesco Struggling to Shift Kinect After Christmas Rush

hrnyseany

I think this kid has totally lost it lol Why would any one want to make games for the kinect with no buttons, think back to what you stated earlier? "I don't know how m$ sold so many of these things" Does that statement not mean then that there are many potential customers out there lol?

Re: Rumour: Angry Birds to Make a Nest with Kinect Controls

hrnyseany

That would blatantly be a hit, Angry Birds is Awesome!!! Also it would be quite easy to program it to do the sling shot. For one you could hold your hand over the sling to start with, pull it back swiping the hand to the left and to make it go swipe your hand to the right at the angle you want the bird flying at. Pretty straight forward logic and also would add an extra element to the game to make it more interactive for the kinect as dependant on the angle you swipe right depends on where your birdy is going making it more interesting? Agree disagree?

Re: Sega's Virtua Tennis 4 Takes Kinect to Court in 2011

hrnyseany

I think it would be easy to have the kinect let you control everything from running to one side of the pitch and swinging the racket. If any of you have played table tennis on the kinect sports that can demonstrate on a smaller scale the fact that you have to run from side to side to follow the returned ball and swing. Really does depend on how well the game will use the whole 3d playable space and then scale your movements for on the court.

Re: Dance Central and Kinect Sports Pass 1m Sold in US

hrnyseany

To be honest i have 5 games for the kinect at the minute , Adventures, sonic free riders, yourshape fitness, sports and dance central. Now by the time i have actually gone through all of these and finished with em i imagine by that time a lot more of the upcoming games would have been released giving more variety and everyone knows as time goes on developers get more into grips with the technology so overall quality will improve. I am really impressed by the kinect so far, it has somehow kept me off Call of Duty Black Ops so that says something! Just give it a chance it has only just begun two months ago

Re: EA Ran Out of Time to Bring Tiger Woods to Kinect

hrnyseany

Im with you jaxim, you know that straight away if you get a cross platform game, all using different technology to control it you are going to get a half finished project. I like yourself will not be purchasing any cross platform games for the kinect unless i can demo it first to ensure this is not the usual half hearted cross platform attempt.

Re: Microsoft Still Developing Kinect Dashboard Features

hrnyseany

I would like to see be able to use the standard xbox dashboard with kinect using similar controls to that of dance central, where holding your arm at different angles of height will skim through the scrolling menu up or down and when youve got one swipe to the left with your right hand to go into it and swipe with your left hand to the right to go back. I think this would make the whole dashboard a lot more intuitive and you wont need the implementation of the kinect hub where you have to get the little hand icon over an arrow icon then swipe either left or right. not quite as natural as the way to navigate dance central in my honest opinion
