@Shinato2024 yeah, I really enjoyed Starfield as well. If they brought it to Switch 2, I'd definitely double dip just to play it on the go. It definitely had issues, but the core gameplay was a lot of fun for me personally.
I really enjoyed Outer Worlds 1&2 and Avowed. They feel a bit similar to the Bethesda franchises, but with their own uniqueness. I’d be pretty bummed if they shut down Obsidian as they seem to be able to release their games at a faster cadence to scratch that open world itch. Hopefully Microsoft can get their issues sorted out, but my expectations are pretty low right now.
@shiningpikablu252 I suppose it’s possible that Nintendo will change their release strategy around GTA, but I’m betting that they still have something to release in November (possibly the rumored OOT remake?). I’m sure they’re well aware of the impending impact of GTA, but they also seem to be in their own world with stuff like this.
Bummer... This would have been the perfect game to play over my Christmas break. I don't really care about GTA. Hopefully Nintendo has something cooking up for the end of the year.

I’ve been looking for a solution for Xbox gaming on my iPad. I’m pretty much 100% handheld gaming at this point with my Switch 2 and PS Portal, but I can’t justify the ROG Ally at this point in the Xbox lifetime. I know I can use the standard Xbox controller for this purpose, but having a second controller with this small form factor seems ideal to me.
I'm fairly certain that next gen I will only be getting one additional console to complement my Switch 2. It's just getting too expensive to justify owning more than one home console in my situation. I'm leaning towards Xbox at this point due to the expected PC compatibility and the fact that Microsoft owns Bethesda and Obsidian (hey, I like their games...).

While it certainly had its flaws, I really enjoyed most of my time with Starfield (I think it's a solid 8/10). It didn't deserve the hate it received online. That said, I don't see me jumping back in at this point unless they release more DLC or the put it on Switch 2 (my primary system at this point)
@Exerion76 it's not just you. As a fellow old guy, I find lately that if a game doesn't hook me in the first 10-15 hours, I shouldn't bother wasting more time on it. There's still a few games that get me hooked (Zelda games always seem to work for me, Subnautica was another, and recently I've gotten pulled back into Pikmin 4 unexpectedly) but it's rare that I really get obsessed with games anymore. I'm not sure why.
