@Meehanuk_1987 why would you be paying the RRP of £22 a month when you can buy it far far cheaper than that? You are allowed to buy from 3rd party on Xbox.
"Three Months" of Ultimate Gamepass is £35 from Loaded
You can already play almost every Xbox and PlayStation game worth having even on a handhelds,( powerful ones not outdated ones like the Steam Deck etc).
I like the way some people insist that the next Xbox console has to run 'all' previous Xbox gen games, whilst ignoring the fact that Microsofts competitors do not even go close to doing that even this gen.
Worth remembering, those 2 million more console customers will very likely join Gamepass , that money wouldn't of been there without those console sales
$89 (£70) for a year's subscription ($49 for 3 months!) , to me most of the games look like the ones you would not bother downloading to your VR headset.
@Darylb88
I was actually comparing the price of the '1TB' Xbox Series S which is £330 from Amazon UK and the Switch 2 is £385.
Then add the very high cost of the 1TB upgrade for the Switch 2 and it's a far more expensive option.
@Darylb88 The Switch only comes with a tiny amount of space so most will have to upgrade it fairly quickly, a 1TB upgrade is around £170.
This game alone takes half the Switch 2 space.
Call of Duty will make far more money than any other game Again this year, even if its release sales are lower, it prints money from Microtransactions, people love them in that game (look at Sony Activision deal leaks for that) , its a marathon not a sprint for sales of the game as the Microtransactions are still there waiting even if you buy it a few months after release.
@Fiendish-Beaver Get even more confused with Sonys definition of First Party. (From Pushsquare.com).
"Sony has befuddled over-engaged fans by describing the likes of Death Stranding as first-party games. So, what gives?
Well, in an interview with Sacred Symbols+ (paywalled), ex-PS Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida mostly put to bed the debate with a full breakdown.
“So, when games are made by a developer, [even an] independent developer, and published by PlayStation, we call them first-party games.”
He explained: “For example, before Housemarque was acquired they [were an] external developer and our external producers managed relations. But we funded the game and released the game as first-party, even though it was externally developed.”
Yoshida continued: “We call second-party when an independent company created the game and funded it or joint funded it, so the IP is still owned by that company. A recent example is Rise of the Ronin by Koei Tecmo. PlayStation published that game so we call it second-party.”".
@andrewsqual Your negativity towards Xbox and talking up Sony!! Lol.
There is a big difference between actual real backwards compatible games on Xbox than mostly PSVR shovelware. Even Sony has quietly dropped VR games to PS Premium.
Jim Ryan argued that "the smaller $3.6 billion investment in Bungie would yield greater returns due to their live-service know-how and ability to expand PlayStation into the multi-platform space".
That didn't go well
$3.6 Billion for some advice seems expensive.
