Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Sells Staggering Amount Of Copies Across All Platforms Including Xbox

What a game. Let’s just politely forget the launch period. My favourite game since Breath of the Wild and, interestingly, it seems a lot of Japanese developers also really loved it.

Alex Donaldson on Bluesky offering his thoughts after a recent trip to Japan (@apzonerunner.com):

I think the impact of Cyberpunk 2077 has been greatly underrated in the west, probably 'cos of that launch. But almost every Japanese dev I spoke to, big or small, corporate or indie, was vaguely obsessed by it & interested in emulating it. I think even the launch served as a great lesson

@ZuneTattooGuy Sorry but I think it’s fair to say most of us aren’t ‘aggressive’ with our controllers. Not even sure what you mean by that to be honest. We aren’t chucking them around the room. I’ve 1000’s of hours with my Switch Pro Controller, and my current Xbox controller still seems fine after a good amount of play. But I got considerably less than that out of some other controllers, including my first Xbox series controller. They are stored in a relatively dust free cupboard, with the cupboard also being cleaned regularly. The controllers are wiped with a microfibre cloth. There’s too many people bringing it up for it to be a lack of care. Glad yours are fine, but it isn’t always a case of people being reckless.

@Kooky_Geezer Yeah, I have had one controller irreversibly drift despite repair attempts and my friend just had his second case (less than a year having bought the controller). I also own a switch so pretty sick of the issue at this point! Saying that, my original Switch Pro controller from 2017 continues to soldier on. It's the Joy Con that gave up.
