Re: Poll: What Was Your Favourite Xbox Game Pass Title For April 2025?

Sketti

I really wish the mini games in Clair Obscur weren't utter butthole.
Bc otherwise it's literally flawless.

BOY did I want to give it a ten but forced parkour (optional but what RPG nut isn't gonna be pissed for skipping obvious loot) mini games were unfun and janky af. Really was a bad look every few hours for a half hour or so each. The climbing puzzle is one of the shittiest times I've had in gaming.
That's a vast difference to the otherwise utter perfection it offers in every other way for me.

Baffling that they put that dog crap in the game. Really could have let it be fun the whole time but no dev can make a single game without shoving some unfun poop into it.

Every 10 I'd have has some stupid stupid STUPID "creative" decision that always keeps it from perfect. I cannot fathom what possesses devs to do this. 1886, marvel Mary Jane, that Forrest in elden ring dlc, the forced stealth section of metaphor, etc. etc.

NO GAMER ALIVE WANTS THIS EVER AND THEY KEEP DOING IT PLEASE STOP YOU MORONS KTHX

Re: Poll: What Do You Think Of Stalker 2 On Xbox Game Pass So Far?

Sketti

Absolutely not for me. The "intro" section that's just scripted deaths in a row for absolutely no reason, teaching you absolutely nothing just made me unwilling to go any further.
I'm not a big fan of FPS games, so I just want accessible fun. Borderlands. Titanfall. BioShock.

I didn't find skill to help me much in the beginning, and don't care to see if that changes later. It shouldn't be there. Days gone (not comparable as genre games) also did this for me.
Opened the game so poorly and so frustrating that I couldn't care to get to the good parts.

There should be no unfun parts. Even dark souls type games have progression in the difficulty. I didn't find that here.

Not saying it can't be enjoyed. Just that it can't be enjoyed by me.

Pass.

Re: Pick One: What Was Your Favourite Xbox Game Pass Game In July 2024?

Sketti

Best single month I've seen, personally.
Loved flintlock, as I'm a big a44 fan. Kunitau gami is one of the best games of the year and such fun. Dungeons of hinterberg was cozy but cute and engaging. Neon white is a game I normally wouldn't like but immediately blasted through. I've played with the madman behind the ost and boy it did not disappoint. Flock was relaxing and serene. I haven't gotten to thcia but I'm sure to enjoy that too.

Unique offerings/variety I loved and that's more games in one month than I normally would play from the back library.

Bravo.

I don't know what would top this for me.

I don't touch cod fish

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (June 1-2)

Sketti

Lords of the Fallen has me smitten. Ive played and enjoyed dozens of soulslikes. Only elden ring, bloodborne, and ds3 are better than this imo.
Plays so smooth. World is grand and it pays aesthetic homage while adding a huge dose of its own identity with unique mechanics and super satisfying combat. Also I've quite enjoyed every boss so far, and that consistency is worth gold to me.
I won't be playing anything else until I'm done.

I have about 15-20 hrs so far and can't wait for more.

Re: Talking Point: Would You Mind If The Next Xbox Was A Portable Console?

Sketti

If it could run the newest games coming out and not limit future tech, it'd be the best idea ever.

Also it needs to be able to dock.

A portable game pass machine that actually ran great and had mainline Xbox/all modern console games playable at competitive fps/etc and it would outsell whatever playstation console was left alone on the market imo.

The switch showed us long ago that flagship and portable means massive sales.

Do the same thing with much higher quality?

Everyone will have one.

Absolutely everyone.
