Re: Rumour: Xbox Has Even 'More' Games Planned For PS5, It's Claimed

@BacklogBrad I understand you statement, but Sony still wants to keep their fans living and breathing their ecosystem. If MS starts porting everything over to both Switch and PlayStation, they will have no reason to start expanding their exclusives to anything beyond PC, for there will no longer be an Xbox console. Xbox sales are low because PC gamers can now play literally that Xbox owners can. If MS starts porting precious exclusives to both Switch and PlayStation, Xbox will no longer spend money to develop a new console, for there will be no reason to.

I understand that creating a console is expensive and the console war is not really essential or necessary for MS, especially since they have acquired Activision and so many other studios. Also, ultimately, shareholders and the board of directors are running the show, so profit comes first. PlayStation fans may find this a big win, but ultimately, consoles are not what they used to be. They were originally the only way to play games at home and they are ultimately the very bottom of gaming. Most gamers in the world today, don't play consoles or PC, but their phones. The situation is different than when the OG Xbox launched and PlayStation was attempting to become the only needed box in one's home for gaming, entertainment, etc. It will be strange to see Forza Horizon, Halo and Gears on PlayStation and Switch, but it's also sad that they don't get to experience such amazing cooperative and multiplayer titles just because they didn't own an Xbox or PC. Nevertheless, when Xbox consoles stop being produced and supported will be a sad day, but perhaps I will migrate back to gaming on my Windows PC exclusively like I did in the 90s. I own, but do not prefer a PlayStation or Switch. The Nintendo analogue sticks are too light and flimsy and the battery life on PlayStation controllers have been simply terrible since they went wireless on the PS3. I prefer the choice of using whatever rechargeable batteries I want, and I prefer the feel of the buttons and the location of the analogue sticks on Xbox controllers. This is my opinion and preference.
