Honestly speaking, i would probably migrated to pc handheld and keep my current console if this comes to past, mostly because i want my time to be actually valued as a costumer of a product.
This feels a lot like a short sighted move that while Microsoft will get a good number of users from playstation for now ,but will that be enough money than what current xbox, alongside pc, users make for them? Like would it really do it? Especially if they are planning a new generation of hardware.
Then you would need to think, with this stunt, how could Xbox figure heads like Phil and Sarah even think anyone is going to go to their platform once the next generation comes along? I mostly see more than the majority of users leaving it behind in favor of pc handheld or playstation, since they feel like their time and money would be more valued on that what is happening.
So i would think, if it does come to past, what in god's green earth to they do once no one goes to their new hardware? The value of gamepass is not nearly enough for it to make folks come in droves.
Sorry for my rant but i just have a feeling that this is gonna have negative consequences for the future of the brand and i do not like it one bit. Its short termed planning pretending to be long term investment .
