I cannot wait to buy this game! I love MJ and hopefully some of the profits from this game will go to his estate. I'm interested in their "proprietary" tracker too; hopefully it will live up to the hype.
I wonder if finger tracking would actually make much of a difference in most games. Piano playing games, maybe, but your average "jump here go there" games... not so much. Either way, an update is always welcome
That's adorable! It's great that they thought to make a game for kids. I love how this tortures the frat-boy demographic. "Oh noes, my precious hardcore gaming console being used by other types of people?!?!?! I'M MELTING!!!1!!"
This game is beyond great, but I only wish they gave the option of customizing our character. What you see the guy wearing in that clip is exactly what you get, all through the game. As a lady, it'd be nice to actually be my own gender, at the very least. :/
Love this game! After only the training (calibrating) session, I was tired, even broke a sweat. I'm not out of shape either, I often run 3 miles & do weight training. The opponents are fun to beat, and the "Leg Pain!" makes me laugh every time. Have yet to play online against someone else -- that may add another layer of difficulty I'm not yet ready for. Overall a great game for any MMA, boxing, or fight fan in general.
Pros:
User friendly. The training session is ample to teach you how everything works.
Great graphics, scenery, and opponents. Not much interaction with your environment (picking up trash cans, etc.), but maybe that's too futuristic to wish for just yet.
Availability. Every store I've seen has plenty in stock, no waiting or back-ordering.
Cons:
Cannot change your player/character. You are always a guy in jeans with a bad fade.
Difficult facial recognition. You have to hold a lamp right by your head in order for it to let you move on to the menu screen (dark skinned players only, I'm assuming). This is a problem with the console itself, but the game literally will not let you move on to begin fighting until you trick the system somehow. There should be a skip option, it's not like it's all that important anyway.
Requires massive stamina; you may have to pause in between rounds just to catch your breath or drink some water. Think Billy Blanks Tae Bo on speed, nonstop.

Re: Crytek Fell in Love with Kinect When Creating Ryse
Eh, I'm gonna pass on this one. Something about murdering virtual people without pushing buttons on a controller just makes me uncomfortable.

Re: Gesture-Based Head-Tracking Tetris a Great Mash of Old and New
This would be so cool. I hope they do more with it than just tetris though.
Re: Microsoft Denies Intentionally Creating Kinect Shortage
Sounds like whiners mad that they waited to buy. Early bird gets the worm!

Re: Review: Fighters Uncaged (Xbox 360)
HARSH. Way harsh. Like totally. I love this game, to each her own.
Re: You Can't Turn Your 360 On or Off with Kinect for a Good Reason
I like how we're burning calories when we use the Kinect, but we're still too lazy to walk over to the darn machine. God bless America!
Re: Japanese Xbox 360 Sales Triple Thanks to Kinect
Maybe this is just my stereotype, but I imagine the Japanese are used to this kind of awesome technology. Maybe they're collectively yawning, lol.
Re: One Hacked Kinect has Amazing Results, But Two is Just Creepy
Just watched some of his other videos at his vimeo. Really funky stuff, may even be called art?

Re: Official Weights and Mats Will Help You to Get Fit with Mel B
Yawn. I already have been playing Fighters Uncaged with my 5lb dumbbells. Probably burned 10,000 kcals, and didn't cost me anything extra lol
